Finally! Proof I actually went up a mountain! (It's Cadair Idris in Wales).

A message from Ralph..

I would like to invite you to an exhibition of photographic portraits taken last Easter at VVF’s Saakshar schools for slum children in SW Delhi, and the communities they serve. The exhibition is called Saakshar! Literacy and Life in a Delhi Slum and it runs from February 28th to March 31st 2010. It is made up of a dozen varied portraits with explanatory text, and will be on display in Christ Church Cathedral's North transept. The exhibition has kindly been sponsored by Christ Church Cathedral, who have supported the work of Saakshar. Light refreshments will be served.

The exhibition is intended to raise awareness of the outstanding work being done by this small educational charity in Delhi, which is changing lives and communities through its deep commitment to helping slum children get to school and to complete their education. Images will be available to purchase and any proceeds will support the work of Saakshar, through our local charity, Saakshar School Appeal.

If you are able to come to the Preview or to subsequently attend the exhibition but are not a member of the University and do not have a parish card to give you access to the Cathedral, please bring a copy of the attached flyer and show it to the Custodian on duty at Tom Gate, who will direct you. Admission to the Preview and the exhibition is free.

February 28th to March 31st 2010

The Third & The Seventh from Alex Roman on Vimeo.

Stunning work this one - it's completely computer generated (bar the odd shot, like the doves and the photographer). Took him a year. I believe it.

Well, the frames are down, drawing a close to our first exhibition. A huge thank you to all who came to the opening drinks, and for all the kind comments we received during the exhibition itself.

Our thanks to all those at the JDP for hosting for the past two months! It's a great space, and one we may well return to in the future.

Exhibition kick off!
